Acupressure is an extremely effective treatment which uses finger pressure on various points to release tensions held in the body. It is based on the ancient healing system of acupuncture. The points are common places where energy tends to pool. The release of these points rebalances physical and emotional tensions, alleviating pain and boosting the immune system. An acupressure session promotes a trancelike state, leaving one feeling pleasantly relaxed, thus having a beneficial effect on mind, body and spirit.
Medical Qigong Treatments are Appropriate:
- if you have a medical condition (treatment is an adjunct or is complementary to current medical treatment)
- if you are dealing with an ongoing emotional issue (such as sadness/grief, worry, fear, anger)
- for relaxation purposes
- for balancing of body’s energies
- for increasing one’s energy and vitality
- for prevention of health and wellness issues
Treatment Protocol: The Practitioner will do an assessment of the Client’s condition at the beginning of each treatment to determine a course of action. In some cases, information may be gathered prior to the initial treatment. During the treatment, as the Qi moves, the Client may feel varying sensations such as warmth, coolness, tingling, and muscular twitching. After the treatment, the Client will likely feel relaxed, have a general sense of well-being and vitality, and be more present. Results will vary, depending on the condition or issue being treated, and the length of time it has been present.
